NEW VIDEO SECTION ADDED UNDER YOUTUBE VIDEOS.
Welcome to Classic Arcade Cabinets
The purpose of this website is to preserve the "arcade cabinets". Video arcade games have been around since the early 1970s. The cabinets were produced with the cheapest materials possible and never intended to last. Add into the equation 40+ years of warehousing costs, water damage, humidity, transportation, and it is not surprising that many of the earlier cabinets have been scrapped when they start to fall apart. When these cabinets get scrapped, many time they are scavenged for parts and the parts are put on a shelf. The end result is that often you can find parts for a game, but not actually the game cabinet.
The purpose of this site is to preserve the game cabinets. Cabinets are painstakingly traced and detailed parts plans are created. This process usually takes over 6 hours per set of plans (for small cabinets). While the plans are listed in CNC friendly formats, most users of this site are reproducing arcade cabinets by hand since all of the dimensions are in the DXF files.
This is a community effort. Thank you to all of you who have contributed to the site. Additionally, if you have an arcade build plans are willing to donate to the cause, your help is greatly appreciated. This is my contribution to the "hobby".

RECENT UPDATES
ANNOUNCEMENTS
A new section has been added for "Fan Made" cabinet plans. The purpose of this section is to provide build plans for fan created cabinets that were never truly released to the arcade world. Additionally, any extremely rare cabinet plans that were inspired by actual arcade games would be put into this section. MAME cabinet build will not be considered for this section. While the purpose of this site is for the preservation of arcade games and cabinets, I feel there is a need for a section to address and preserve fan builds such as "The Last StarFighter" by Rogue Synapse, Fix it Felix, and others. I am also working on few plans myself for some of the more "rare" titles that may be partially based off of pieces from arcade cabinets, but have too many of the gaps created to be considered true re-production cabinets. These titles include Indy 800, a Japanese style Darius cabinet, and a Time Gal. I would be interested in receiving a feedback or thoughts on the subject.
Thanks
Brian
