Arcade - Arcade Cabinets - Namco - Galaga
GalagaMisc. Information
Cabinet measurements provided by: w Has a cabinet been cut from drawings: Yes Construction type: 3/4" Plywood Estimate Cabinet Accuracy:92% What does Cabinet Accuracy mean? Areas of variation Monitor mountings - From memory, the monitor had metal hardware for mounting. In the drawings, a wooden mount was included for the monitor (both 19" CRT and LCD with VESA 100) and blocking was added to support the monitor mounts. The placement of the blocking for the monitor mounts may be off due to the shape of the monitor shroud. If you have original hardware, the mounts and blocking are not needed. Wheels - Plans are missing wheel mounts on the back of the cabinet. |

Files to Print
The below files are PDF documents of the plans that are printed to scale. These documents can be taken to your local print shop and printed on 36" wide media. The prints can then be applied to the wood and used as a template to cut the side panels of the cabinet. I have only included the side panels and any other panels that may be more difficult to cut.

Drawing specific notes
The drawings are missing the cutouts for the rear wheels. They "problem areas are highlighted in red below.
The blocking and monitor mounts were added to allow you to mount your monitor without the specific metal pieces. If you have these parts, the following areas of the plans to not need to be cut.
The dados highlighted in the below picture have a pocket depth of .30"
Cut depth on the pink highlighted areas is .375" (assuming using full .75" material). If using plywood or other thinner remaining material, the remaining thickness of the material after cut should be .375".
The boxes identified below are meant to be cut out (same as in the top). It is difficult to illustrate in the drawings, so thus this note.
